Jurassic Park Theme

Did you know that someone on the internet wrote words to the Jurassic Park theme song?  I didn’t but apparently it’s all the rage on the interwebs.  Jeff Goldblum has taught us the lyrics to the song below:

Well, only one phrase of those lyrics, here’s a set of lyrics in full.  No where is the lyrics he said.  And he claimed that you could watch those lyrics over 200 times on the internet.  I don’t know where he’s looking, but I didn’t find anything except the below video.  Maybe I didn’t look hard enough, but there’s already far too many videos in this post, so this is what you get.

It’s not really that great.  But then again, h0w many things on the internet are great?  Not this site, that’s for damn sure.  It has a Weird Al like theme to it, except it’s alittle too Shatner.  I bet if Weird Al covered it, it would be pretty ace.  But then you remember that he already did a Jurassic Park song, and it was pretty ace as it was:

Now, because I haven’t put enough videos into this post, here is the official theme, courtesy of Mr. John Williams:

Aluminum Foil Creations

The Japanese artist Makaon uses the aluminum from old soda cans to create beautiful 3 dimensional works of art.  The majority of his work come from video games, but there are a few other things there notable Buzz & Woody from Toy Story.

I like how he used the natural color of the metal to bring out the color of the characters.  Instead of painting it, and relying on after effects to get the look he wanted.  I like aluminum, it just so happens to be my 3rd favorite metal, behind Copper & Silver.  Aluminum is nice because it’s easy to work with and cheap.  Cheap enough to make these ace reproductions anyway.

Although, I kind of wish he made one of The Terminator (The 800 series), and then slowly lowered the aluminum body into a pit of molten metal (which could also be aluminum).  That would be so meta, (I think I’m using that phrase right).

Weird Al is Still Awesome

Weird Al has released a new album, Mandatory Fun, which has a very Commie vibe to the cover art, I’m torn between if I should like it, or hate it.  Whatever, buy it.  But if you’re not convinced that Al is a lyrical genius, then take a look at some of this latest videos, oh, did you know he’s releasing a new music video for a different song every day for 8 days.  The song above, Word Crimes, is a parody of Blurred Lines, I like it because of it’s kinetic typography style.

Tacky is I think my favorite, even though I absolutely hate the song it’s based on.

The other two he’s released are Foil, which, after I watched it again, I remember that I love it:

Mostly for the strange location it goes in on the 2nd verse, it makes the song so much better.  I mean, Weird Al, was known for his food songs in the past, but this one is better.

I don’t like his latest one though, Handy:

As a bonus, here’s a DIY video someone made of his Hardware Store song, based on Harry Potter’s Dumbledore:
