Having made stop motion before I understand the effort that went into making this production. I have to say though, this is some pretty amazing production skills. It also shows that there’s always a use to having more LEGO bricks.

There really isn’t anything else to say regarding this video except that it’s pretty ace and you should watch it.
If only real life trains could be this crazy, we would have some killer new Olympic sports.
All of you people out there with these wooden train tracks, I’m looking to you to put something together which is 100x better than this video. I expect it. All 7 readers of this blog.

Science is so cool. Did you know that? I can’t imagine what I would have done with things like this when I was a kid. As far as I would have been concerned, it was magic. And when you think about it, magnets are kinda magical aren’t they?

It’s Christmas time and little kids all over the world are worrying about what Santa is going to give them more than what the spirit of the season is all about. Well in order to bring their hopes and dreams down, I’m going to show them a set of insane Hot Wheels tracks that they wish they could build and they wish Santa would bring them.
It’s too late now mommy and daddy, you can’t get this stuff anymore.
I like the first one in the skate park, that was pretty ace.
Here’s a better view of #6, it’s not a track it’s an art installation. Boring. I do like the speed scale though, that’s ridiculous. It goes to show that you would never withstand the G-Forces of it.
Number 4 is ridiculous. There are wooden loops, it’s reminiscence of Action Park in it’s high qualityness.
Number 2 is pretty awesome, from it’s humble beginnings. It looks simple but then you see how gar along the house and the yard that it goes. I do like #1 with the PVC pipes holding the track for parts of it. Pretty neat.
Anyway Enjoy Children. And if you’ve managed to build a track of equal or better value, let me know.
That is a life-sized working car built out of LEGOs. Yes, you read the correctly, life-sized, built from LEGOS. In fact, it doesn’t even use any glue, all the pieces are being held together by the inherit force of nature that is LEGO. Based on estimates, this cost about $1 million to make. Which when you compare it to an actual Bugatti, is a bargin.
However, if you’d like something more affordable, check out the LEGO Technic 42083. It’s only 3,600 pieces, but it’s also $350. I guess you can’t win either way.

Imgur user xadrian built his own LEGO Food Truck. I gotta say, the thing looks ace. There’s plenty of attention to detail on the inside. And actual flames on the side, not a baby decal. Actual. Flames.
Doesn’t this guy look dangerous?
Instructables user grandpapaning has built this pretty neat tap-dancing robot. In actuality, it serves no purpose whatsoever. In practice though, it’s a great way to teach people about the different areas of science – Electricity, electronics, mechanical design, turning electrical signals into physical forces. In general, lots of stuff. It’s all pretty neat really. There’s still time left in this Christmas vacation. Maybe you should look at building this useless thing.
Seriously, watching dominoes fall down is incredibly satisfying. I think it’s a combination of the noise and the colors to be honest. While the above video isn’t exactly super technical, it’s quite fun to watch. Especially the stop motion clean up and setup.

There’s something about watching videos in slow motion that is super fun. There’s something about watching a LEGO town get utterly destroyed pretty fun. Combine the two, and you have some ace footage above. Capture by the Slow Mo Guys, this showcases two separate attempts to have a LEGO plane “crash” into a town. Watch it until the ending, you’ll thank me.

Anyone who grew up with Hot Wheels and/or Matchbox Cars knows the insane tracks that would be put together for them. I know I made crazy things to run the cars around. With the advent of the internet, and the ability to bulk order track, people make giant fun things for their kids. What’s even cooler though is that the GoPro Hero Session4 is small enough to attach to a car and send down the track with minimal interference!
I really like the editing done between tracks. It took me a moment to realize it was an edit and not just one long track. That was pretty clever in how they set the tracks up. The underwater bit is something cool too. Apparently it took them a few shots to get the underwater part correct, but it works, and it’s pretty ace.
Now I want to do something like this too…
