Bohemian Coaster

I love me Rollercoaster Tycoon. It’s next there with Halo as the game I’ve sunk more hours of my life into (and I’ve sunk months of time into Halo). That being said, with the exception of the stupid object limit, I’ve perfered the original unaltered version of the game over the Open RCT alternative where you can add all sorts of weird things such as the switches and track merging things in this coaster.

Anyway, those things make this coaster pretty awesome. There’s no way it’s realistic, look at some of the G-Forces it’s pulling in the curves when the music starts up. Still, pretty ace if you ask me.

I didn’t realize it until almost the end, but the coaster even travels over a virtual set of piano keys. Very detailed work on this masterpiece, very detailed indeed.

The Tallest Waterslide

This is a nice 10 minute video going over the history of the development of the world’s largest waterslide. You should know, it didn’t really work out that great from the beginning. Think those terrible Roller Coaster Tycoon slides you’d make where everyone died. Yea, those.

That’s right, it’s worse than the one at Action Park. You remember that one, the one with the loop. Remember that, something worst than Action Park was allowed to be built and people to ride it. That’s crazy.

Well, it’s summer time now, be prepared for a whole new season of crazy.

RCT, in FP

RCT is near and dear to my heart, next to Tetris and Halo, it’s quite possibly my favorite game. Easily up in the top 3 with those and probably a few others I’m forgetting. I’ve dumped countless days into the game, again, rivaled only by Halo probably.

That being said, it’s alittle crazy that people love it more than me. (Well, not crazy, look at some of the things people make in it!) This blocky re-creation of the game in first person view is pretty neat. Too bad it’s super blocky and such, but I for a learning experience, and something that no one asked for and no one is being paid to do, this is pretty cool.

Rollercoaster Tycoon – Unreal Style

It’s no secret (or it shouldn’t be anyway), that I love Rollercoaster Tycoon.  I spent many hours of my youth building parks.  Sometimes playing the scenarios, oftentimes just screwing around trying to build giant parks.  My favorites were building multiple mile long coasters with dozens of inversions, yet still trying to keep the ratings down to levels to get peeps to ride it.  In my later years, I got into some more advanced coasters with scenery and interaction between racing or dueling coasters.

My most recent favorites are The Dark Masters, 4 dueling coasters named of course after the Dark Masters in Digimon.

Anyway, imagine what RCT would be like with the above.  It’d be pretty neat wouldn’t it?

RollerCoaster Tycoon Calculator

It might be a secret, though it’s not anymore, I love RollerCoaster Tycoon. It’s my favorite computer game. I’ve spent countless hours playing the game, beating the scenarios, making my own crazy parks. I’ve hit the object limit in a park before and it sucks when you have a really ace park. OpenRCT2 aims to fix that issue. I’ve yet to try out that version of the game, though it looks promising.

I enjoy playing the game and making big interesting parks.  While I am a programmer, the thought of programing a calculator into the game is beyond me.  That’s what Marcel did though.  And it’s dang impressive.

RCT2 MEGA Park

Damn is the only word I have to describe this beautiful masterpiece.  There’s tons of scenery, things I could never do.  I can make the coasters, but none of the theaming that goes along with it.
