It’s simply fun to watch. I don’t know what the world record is. Or why he’s using Nutella. All I do know is that it was a joy to watch a grown man have that much excitement. The video is way better then the reddit gif originally makes it out to be.
Candy Canes are a traditional Christmas delicacy. And I use the word delicacy lightly. It’s not exactly rare. It is one of those things though that you really only see at one time of the year. If you ever wondered how they are made, here are a series of videos curtesy of MAKE that show you just that. Check after the jump for them all, I don’t want to bog down the home page with YouTube.
Are you ready kids?!
I can’t hear you!
Are you ready?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Did you know you could use your dishwasher to cook a lasagna? I didn’t. In fact, I had never even heard of this myth, but someone sent it into the Mythbusters. And while shooting another episode, they decided to test this myth at the same time. Spoiler, you can.
If you ever wanted an edible shotglass made of coke, this video is for you:
Honestly, the rubberness of it looks weird to me. I would prefer if it were frozen. It would probably feel better while you drink from it. The glass wouldn’t last long, but that’s the idea I bet. How would warm gelatiny coke taste? Probably strange.
I’m not really sure how realistic this is, I did see it on the internet, so it could be true. I think they would have a better chance at making it realistic if they got rid of the “green I’m better than you” vibe that the video gives off. But hey, that’s me. Saltwater Brewery is the place behind this “technology” looks like they’ve come up with a useful use for their left over by products of beer making. That’s definitely the re-use part of the 3 R’s.
This is pretty neat, if a bit useless for the average person. Instructables user MaskMarvl has put together a quick 7 step guide to making your own sugar cubes. Granted, it needs to use brown sugar so that it can stick together, but I’m sure you could eventually figure out the recipe for making your own white sugar cubes.
The whole process is actually quite easy and could probably be completed without the tools asked for, just two pieces of wood, and a drill. The sugar cube isn’t needed, make it whatever size you want, this is America after all.
In honor of Thanksgiving this week, here is a wounderful alternative recipe to serve to your guests:
Pasta with Jam Sauce
The entire dish was cooked up by the young son West of Misha Collins. The series is called Cooking Fast and Fresh with West. It’s There are only 4 episodes, they are all great, you should give yourself 45 minutes and watch them.
The entire video of how to make Pasta with Jam Sauce is available below. Seriously, watch the whole thing, it’s great.
In case you want to see what the whole recipe is, here are the ingredients:
- 10 strawberry jam
- So many tomato sauces
- 5 inches of carrot juice
- All the orange juice
- 1 bag chocolate chips
- 3/4 bag of goldfish
- 8 inches of blackberries
- 1 red delicious apple
- 1 box of pasta (Rotelle shaped is preferred, but you can use what you like)
- 1 jar of tomato sauce
Mix that all together in a large bowl, then boil it until it looks brown, serve right away.
If you ever wanted to know how to cook from the mind of a toddler, Cooking Fast and Fresh with West is the way to go. Misha Collins takes his son shopping for dinner. Whatever West picks out at the store, that’s what they buy. Then together, they cook it up for dinner. There are 4 episodes, they are great. Some people say that this is a waste of food, that’s not really true though. And I don’t really feel like going into why everything about these videos is a good idea.
I like how Misha is able to hold a straight face throughout the entire processes. In 15 years time this kid is going to have some really great videos to look back on. Really great.
So, sometime this week, try out one of West’s recipe’s, let me know how it is.
