Crazy Underground Waterslide

Not quite underground, but close enough. I’m not sure how this came up, but while scrolling through videos in bed last night looking for cool and interesting things to watch while falling asleep this video showed up.

Now, my searches have been Geodesic Dome, terrariums, gardening, wood working, and home building focused. I’m not 100% sure where this came from, but it was interesting. And my wife and I spent the 20 minutes watching it and being amazed at the way these two (though, I guess 3) individuals turned the jungle into something else.

How, we’re not quite sure. Why, even less sure. But 35 seconds into the video we were equal parts confused and impressed, and at that point, dedicated to the cause. It’s interesting, and cool, you should dedicate yourself to the 20 minutes watching these guys build an underground palace, because they can.

Imagine building something like this in America. Well, I’m sure that you could somewhere, or something close enough to it anyway. One day that will be me. And trust me, when that happens, this blog will be no more. Because why would I be blogging when I could be enjoying my underground natural waterslide house?

Super Fast Plane

For real though, how can you even control something going to fast? Like, I get it when you’re watching it form the first person point of view, and you have something giant, and you’re a few hundred or thousand feet above the ground. But a little R/C plane. Damn, some people are just skilled.

Crazy Tesla Coil Gun

Ok, last time there was a LASER Gun, today it’s a Tesla Coil.  It’s ridiculous.  The Tesla Coil is not quite as dangerous, but also completely terrifyingly dangerous, science is weird like that.  Anyway, this channel is pretty neat, you should watch it to learn more about things.

Super LASER

There’s really no need for this, but like a good America, it had to be made.  I don’t know if he’s American, but it doesn’t matter, this is American to the core.

I need one.

Pop Up Wood

Stop being immature.  this is a wooden sculpture thing.  It’s awesome, I have no idea how long it took to make, or what was necessary to put it together, but it looks ace.

Sand Art Via Drone

Drones are cool, and so is sand art.  Personally, I’m more of a fan of sand castles, but the above art is equally as neat.   The video comes via Instagram user @jbenart, and if you check out his page on Instagram, or his website, you can see some equally as impressive masterpieces.

He’s from France, and has some serious skills.  I’m equally as impressed with his sand art skills as with his ability to make the artwork before the tide comes in and washes it all away.

Scale Brick House

This person when through an awful lot of trouble to build this scale house and to be honest, I am very impressed with it.  However I’m not sure what the point of it was.  Especially since it’s mostly covered with stucco.  He could have gotten the same look with one quarter of the time and effort.  I think this would have been cool as an educational video and display.  Where half the house was not finished and cut away so that you could see the inside of it.  Oh well it’s neat and I applaud this guy for having the time and skills to do something like that.

Wooden Sink

Reddit user CTpizza23 made a farm house style sink out of walnut.  It looks gorgeous, but as many of the commenters on the reddit thread mentioned, it will not last. It’s a shame that we can’t make something waterproof and still transparent, I would love to have something like this in my house one day.  Though I understand the issues with why it’s not the best idea.

Wine Cooled PC

You can file this under the folder of “why?”, but someone decided to make a liquid cooled PC, which instead of using water, or coolant, they used wine.  Yes, they now can serve warm mulled wine to guests 60°C in a few hours.  I don’t drink Mulled Wine, but according to them, that’s the perfect drinking temperature, who knew?!

It’s odd, but hey it’s not like something crazy like this hasn’t been done before.  People used oil to cool their computers.

Check out some more of the photos on Imgur.

Deter Package Theives

I like Mark Rober, some of his videos are cool, some are awkward, most are enjoyable.  This one is really interesting he goes into how he stalked his package thieves, then how he enlisted the help of his friend to design and build a glitter+fart bombing dummy package.

I don’t want to spoil anything, but the best part is the ending.  You can trust me and him when he says that it’s over-engineered and just get to the goods.

He clearly built a few of these, if he were smart next year he will start offering them for sale for people.  Though I do wonder how cost-effective it actually is given the 4 phones he might have lost forever and the LTE data plans he paid for them.  Granted, I’m sure they were burners, but still.
