History of Halo

Did You Know Gaming has a nice video on the history of Halo: Combat Evolved.  It’s full of some interesting facts about the first game in the series, and some of the history of Bungie.  There’s some background information of weapons that were planned at one time for the game, some of the sounds.  But … Continued

Honor XP

Today marks the first day of no official support for Microsoft’s Windows XP.  Besides the horrible internet browser, and the lack of some now standard features (Native DVD support?), it does have one thing that will stand the test of time and be burned into our memories (and some computer monitors too) The above default … Continued

MS Paint Musical Theater

Soundcloud user R2Bl3nd imported the paint.exe program from Windows 7 x64 into some audio software and interpurted it as an audio file.  Apparently this is called PCM data.  I’ve just discovered what that is and what it means.  But I will boil it down to this.  It interprets the .exe file as audio data.  Digital … Continued

The Day The Music Died

On February 03, 1959, The Music Died, at least according to Don McLean, and because of that, most of the American public, at least the ones that understand the song.  And let’s be honest, you can’t call yourself an American and not like that song.  Understanding it is a totally different thing, but liking it, … Continued

Halo NES style

I am somewhat excited about the concept of that game.  Sure it looks like crap, but it could be a nice afternoon time waster.  I’m mostly impressed with the way they got the Halo theme using 8bit music.  Not bad If you ask me. {Destructoid | Piki Geek}

Geometry Wars Natal

Geometry Wars is the 2nd best game on the Xbox 360, and until Halo 3 came out, the only real reason to own the console.  It was so addicting that I skipped class, and homework, and sleep to try and beat my high score.  Like Tetris, it’s just perfect. What is not perfect is the … Continued

Stumbles 20

No one cares about 19.  It’s such a silly number.  Even if it is prime, it’s silly.  Anyway, off for the 20th installment of the Stumbles series.  Got some good memes here, some good games, and some holiday cheer.  So be a good faith, and click the link below for some laughing good times.

Windows Live Writer test

This is a test post I made on Window’s Live Writer.  I don’t know how well this will work, or if it will work at all.  But it looks interesting, and I have nothing else to do this Friday afternoon, so here goes nothing!

Iowa are you for real?

Iowa? Really? Is this your true colors? Bing at 75% I don’t get it. Not even Microsoft’s homeland have that much, in fact you double them. What is this? Especially considering from the looks of it your neighbors haven’t even heard of Bing, let alone use it and love it! And something is lacking because … Continued
