I don’t think I shared this video with y’all. I think it’s pretty neat. Yes it’s 5 minutes long, but there’s alot there. And damnit, I spent more time than I should have getting the music to sync up with the video well. So you’ll watch it, and you’ll like it, and you’ll comment on … Continued
The 5th National Park on my list from Alaska is Lake Clark. Located around Port Alsworth, I stayed at The General Lodge for a week. From there were went on an overnight kayak trip, an all day hike, and explored the small town. It was fun, The General was really a great spot, everything was … Continued
The next park in the list from my Alaska trip is Kobuk Valley. Also above the Arctic Circle, this park is incredible mostly because of the uniqueness of the Sand Dunes. The nice thing about this park was being able to stay in the same camp for a few days in a row. Not having … Continued
Remember the 360° camera I got earlier this summer. Well, naturally I brought it with me to Alaska. I took lots of 360° photos, and lots of video. I even set it up to record a time-lapse of kayaking and hiking. Unfortunately, Youtube highly compresses the 360 video. Hopefully they’ll fix that little issue soon.
The park I was most excited to get to – Gates of the Arctic. I spent 6 days on the Noatak River kayaking over 80 river miles with 11 awesome new friends. It was some of the most fun I have ever had. Instead of re-canting what I’ve spent countless nights putting together, I will … Continued
Another week, another batch of photos done. Scratch off Kenai Fjords National Park from my list. This was a short visit, I was only there for 3 days, don’t let that device you though, I had a blast Kayaking along Aialik Bay getting close (but not too close) to calving glaciers, beautiful blue icebergs, and … Continued
I told you I would have some photos, and now I do. At least part of the trip anyway. Here are some photos from Wrangell-St. Elias National Park. I have some of the other parks done, but not fully uploaded yet, if you’re savvy you could find them, or you could wait. I bet you’ll … Continued
100 years ago Congress created the National Park Service to oversee management and protection of the various lands that were quickly being protected by presidents and Congress. I’m not finished visiting every park yet, there’s still 30ish left for me to get to, but I’m making a dent in the list, and that’s what matters … Continued
Hey guys. I have no idea what happened to the site while I was gone. Being that I was completely without internet for 95% of my trip, I couldn’t check anything. The few times I did have internet, I wasn’t sure if it was my connection or if it was the site itself. Alaska is … Continued
But I have nothing to show for it. I landed a few hours ago from a 30 day vacation. Cut me some slack why don’t ya. I’ll get you some of the photos I took, trust me. Have I ever let you down before?
