How Neat is this?

0

That’s pretty neat, that’s what that is. This is what I’m doing this week now, watching Nature, and all the neat things that make it up. You should really watch the rest of the videos on the channel, they are really well done.  Don’t really take anything he says to heart though, it’s a parody … Continued

New York City – By Drone

0

I know this video is almost 3 years old, but sometimes it’s nice to revisit some old things, and show how times have changed, and technology improved.  In this case, the video quality is still amazing, as is the production quality.  You know what has changed, the ability to do something like this and not … Continued

Some of the Eclipse

0

Here’s some 360° video of this Monday’s total Solar Eclipse.  Witnessing this event in person was amazing.  We drove 16 hours down to Greenville South Carolina only to be stuck in clouds. Not to worry though, because that was a major fear of ours, we were prepared and rushed in the opposite direction of the … Continued

The Things you can do with a GoPro

For real, who would have thought years ago that we would be spending time watching animals drink water from a bucket on a farm?  This is the type of nature show you want to watch.  Except, maybe in the wild, not on a farm, with picturesque farm animals. It is neat though seeing how the … Continued

Infrared Timelapse

I do love some Infrared photography.  There’s something awesome and other-worldly about it that is so enticing.  This time-lapse of Oregon is done completely in infrared.  I will say, some of the shots are pretty lost.  The nightscapes, and the meh mountainsides, those just look like filtered B&W.  There are a few nice sections of … Continued

Interactive Wooden Landscape

This is pretty neat, ETM: Exploration Through Motion is an interesting view of a once static asset.  A team of students from the Philadelphia University created this as their final project in Design 1.  Together, they took the Thomas Moran painting “Grand Canyon of the Colorado River”, and made a 3D laser cut map diorama … Continued

Glory Hole In Action

0

Remember that post years and years ago about The Glory Hole.  Yea, well, here it is in action.  All the rains that California has experienced in the last few months have filled up the Dam and the spillway is in full force.  Unlike the Oroville Dam, this one in Lake Berryessa is well within guidelines. … Continued

Something about clouds, and time-lapses, this just soothes me. {The Cloud Appreciation Society}

Wood Cutting

0

You don’t need to watch all 30 minutes of this video.  Some parts are well cut while others are static views of control screens.  It is an interesting look at how saw mills are set up to operate.  I’m particularly fond of the giant mills used to cut the giant tree trunks.  Pretty impressive.

Planet Earth II

I never saw the first one, but this looks good.  I’m pretty amazed at some of the footage they were able to capture.  Either they had drones, or super high resolution cameras and then cropped it in very far.  It looks like a good couple of hours to waste when it premiers sometime this year … Continued
