So, what happened in this version of History that our Nation’s National Anthem is played differently?

Well, let me tell you:

Many things are similar, and in fact, you’d be able to use many of the same history books and lessons you learned today.  Except for one a few key differences, America is a slightly communistic nation.  I know what you’re saying, Karl Marx wasn’t even born yet, but that’s not an issue.  This is an alternate version of history, there are literally infinite ways I can  explain that away.  Perhaps he was, or perhaps Jefferson, Franklin and the rest of the gang were commies at heart.

Anyway, America, the Communist Empire that stretches from sea to sea, and pole to pole is truly the greatest nation on earth, and everywhere we go, we have to proclaim the greatness of the land.

Let it be known that were I ever to be transported to this version of History, I would immediately die.

Come on, this is a Christmas Tradition around these parts.  You didn’t think you could get away with not seeing it this year could you?

Well you’d be wrong.  And what better time to post it then at 12 minutes past the 12th hour, on the 12 day, of the 12th month of the 12th year of the 2nd millennium since semi accurate time keeping was invented?

I’d say nothing, and I’d be right, damnit.

This video is officially the greatest internet video of all time.  Better then The Void, or The Void II, Charlie the Unicorn, that elephant video from last week, Rap Chop, ALL the pokemon.  Everyone.  This is the greatest internet video ever.  It will never be topped, it can only be equaled.

What video can equal it?  Well, certainty not the creepiest tree in the world.  All Your Base, that is an equal.  But it’s on the shortlist.  The very short list.  So short that I can’t even think of another video to add to it right now.  Sorry.

I can’t say that I love the choice of word changes, but it fits, and it’s still my 2nd favorite Billy Joel song of all time, so there’s that.

We had a total of 4 days of downtime due to no electricity, but it’s all back now, quicker then expected to be honest.

You may remember Steve Kardynal, from previous posts, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted stuff about him.  Mostly because I make it a habit to not subscribe to YouTube channels, as it’s super easy to get caught up and waste an entire day watching them.

Like I’ve almost have, except The Olympics have saved me.

Anyway, here’s another one of him:

Personally, I think I’m going to call this BS, or at the very least, taken with alot of artistic license.

It’s claimed that using a digital camera (a PS Eye of all things), and a computer, spinning a slice of wood on a record player, LP style, it creates this almost perfect piano.  Honestly, it’s just too perfect of a piano sound for me.  It’s interesting nonteheless, but I don’t think it’s 100% natural.  Hell, I don’t even think that there’s any reason to think that tree rings can or should produce music.  But who am I to say what’s art?

The interface is one of the most gorgeous I have ever used.  It’s slick, fast, interactive, and modern.  Everything Facebook is lacking.  The Circles feature is the best idea for sharing information with all your friends and people you’ve ever met, known.  I love being able to have different Circles for my different groups of friends, and restricting the information they get to know about me, and the updates I post to those individual ones.

It’s like I’m the dictator I’ve always dreamed of being, and the circles are my subjects, with different classes for everyone – Council, Guardians, Agents,  the list goes on, and on, and everyone in those circles has a role to play, a specific role.  And they only get the information that I deem necessary for them, I love it!

The one lacking thing about it has been the invite system, and when I first signed up it was disjointed and inconsistent.  They changed that and made it more Gmail like, and that’s better, because now I know when I invite someone and stuff.

The only things missing now are further Google Integration, I’m talking to you Google Music. I’d love to see some interactivity between the different services, posting my currently playing song to my Goolge Chat friends, like the desktop client (sometimes) does.  I have a feeling that in the coming months this kind of integration will become standard, and then I can tell everyone that I listen to Garth Brooks, Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, & Backstreet Boys alllllll day.

Also, if you want a Google+ invite, leave a message in the comments with your email address and I’ll see what I can do.  That invite thing on the side doesn’t always stay there.
