Here is a sweet little mod to turn this ordinary flashlight into an awesome blue one!

All that’s required is that you buy the above flashlight, 3 Blue LEDs, have a solidering iron, and have 5 minutes.
Full instructions after the click:

First, unscrew the flashlight:

Remove the small circular circuit board containing the 3 LEDs.

Get your soldering iron out and begin to unsolder each LED one at a time. I suggest you unsolder one, and then solder the new one in it’s place so you don’t accidentally put it in backwards.

sure i’m not the best solder, but it works, and thats all that matters.

Before you can put the new LEDs into the old holes though, you must cut the connectors to fit in the holes.

Don’t worry about remembering which side is which, because the shorter side has a small flat portion on it.

Solder the new LEDs in place.

(On my particular flashlight, the flat portion was faced outward, it may be different for yours.)

Repeat the process 2 more times for the other 2 LEDs, and you’re done.

You don’t have to use all blue LEDs either, you could mix and match. However since i regard blue LEDs as the end all and be all of LED colors, i chose blue.

Now granted, my blue LED flashlight is a far cry in brightness compared to the original white one, but i don’t care, cause as i mentioned above, the fact that it’s blue makes it automatically better.
