The Island of the Pirate Bay
The Pirate Bay, famous website that tracks countless torrents, has been under fire from authorities. Their solution, buy their own island nation, and make their own laws. That my friend, is the best idea ever. They are asking for donations from users, and by donating, you get citizenship to the (hopefully) new country. The island in question is Sealand, an artificial island built some 60 years ago that is no up for sale. However, there are questions as to weather or not this is a sovereign nation. I don’t know, and i don’t care, but if The Pirate Bay can raise the $1 billion they need, then i say good for them, they have done everyone’s (at least mine) dream, being the rulers of their own nation (i want the world, but everyone starts small).
