Tornado

Make your very own 3 foot high Tornado.  While this wont be able to hurl cows, and is in no way “The Finger of God”  It is a damn cool project.  Plus, the plans to build it are FREE!  So, why not try it?  Be sure to send us some photos, and as soon as [...]

Wind Turbines

Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) embedded in each of its three S-shaped blades fire in sequence as the blades rotate, painting a video screen that appears to hang in the air. This full colour and motion image is clearly visible day and night.
That is kinda cool, a wind turbine that has LEDS on it, man, LEDs [...]

No Channel Surfing?

If a new idea from Philips catches on, the company may not be very popular with TV viewers. The company’s labs in Eindhoven, The Netherlands, has been cooking up a way to stop people changing channels to avoid adverts or fast forwarding through ads they have recorded along with their target programme.

Philips suggests adding flags [...]

War!

These kits let you bring back all the fun of flinging. Each one can assemble in just a few hours, and provides a fantastic scale model of an actual war weapon of yore. The catapult is perfect for chucking balls of paper and other small objects over cubicle walls. The trebuchet is better for long [...]

Now we are trying to make the comments different colors.  Our current choice is alternating purple and green with a black border.  I like it, mike does not.
Currently it [...]

Huge Tesla Coil

We’ve probably missed out on a great educational opportunity with this awesome Telsa Coil from Edmund Scientific. We could have told you more about how it works and discussed the brilliant scientist who invented it, but noooooo instead we use it to set things on fire, create sparks and illuminate lightbulbs wirelessly. (Don’t try this [...]

Potato battery on crack!

Why?
wouldnt it be cheaper, and lighter to just get a battery?
It is semi cool, in a “no one in the world has one” kind of way.

Google Da Vinci Code contest

Looks like Google teamed up with Sony Pictures to create some buzz about their new movie: The Davinci Code (like it needs anymore buzz).
Anyway, the people at Google made a couple of puzzles for the world to slove, and, but a couple, i mean 12,358 puzzles.
Those puzzles will be released every day for the next [...]

Tetris timer

If i cooked, i would want one, hell, i want one anyway.
The little tetris like peices move down, and when the screen is full, the time is up.  Pretty neat idea.  Avaliable from amanda in white or black.  The timer just needs to be set, and all you do to start it is turn it [...]
