How to change your content preference:

• log in to Yahoo Mail
• click Options
• select Account information from the left panel
• go to Member Information, General Preferences, Preferred Content
• select, for example, Yahoo UK
• click Finished
• go to Yahoo Mail
• you’ll see a page that says “It’s the New Yahoo! Mail Beta… and you’re invited.”
• click on “Try Beta Now”.

I tried it, it works, i was evan able to change my language settings to English (United States) for all those words that would have confused me…

My inital thoughts, i hate it. I hate outlook, and that is exactly what the new Yahoo Mail Beta is, and, i hate it.
pros:

• looks nicer
• drag ‘n drop functionality
• looks like outlook (if your in to that kind of thing)

cons:

• slow as hell
• Wont let me delete an email if it hasnt loaded in the pannel
• no keyboard shortcuts (that i could find, im sure they’re there, but, its probably some awkard combination of shift+alt+esc+1234567890+poop just to send the message you wrote)
• no select all (that i could easily find)
• outlook like interface (i hate outlook)
• huge bannar ad on the right still
• drag ‘n drop is slow
• its yahoo

overall, i wont be using it, but that’s cause i switched over to gmail from the begining.

There really isn’t a comparsion, google knows what they’re doing, everyone should be using gmail, its just that much better.

I still have my yahoo account that i use for spam, and things that i dont care about but require an email to sign up for online.
